How Thermography Works at Eldorado Hills Thermography
Infrared imaging made easy to understand: follow the heat your body releases all the way to the report you receive.
The Science Behind Eldorado Hills Thermography
All living bodies release infrared energy in the form of heat. Skin temperature reflects what is taking place underneath: circulation, inflammation, nerve function and metabolism each shape how warm or cool a region becomes. A medical infrared camera picks up minute temperature variations, frequently just fractions of a degree, and turns them into a color-coded thermal map.
In a thermal image, warmer regions generally show up near the red and white end of the scale, while cooler regions lean toward blue and purple. Skilled interpreters examine the images for asymmetry, atypical vascular patterns and differences from earlier studies.
Eldorado Hills Thermography, Step by Step
1. Acclimation
You spend a short time resting in a climate-controlled room so your skin temperature can settle. This step is key to producing accurate images that can be repeated.
2. Image Capture
Your technician records a set of standardized views of the area under study. The camera makes no contact with your body and gives off no radiation.
3. Physician Interpretation
Your images are sent securely to board-certified medical doctors trained in thermology, who review the patterns and compare them with any earlier studies.
4. Your Report
You get a written report outlining the findings and any suggested follow-up. We encourage you to share it with your healthcare provider.
What Eldorado Hills Thermography Can Image
- Breast: monitoring of breast tissue physiology and change over time.
- Full and lower body: inflammation, circulation and musculoskeletal patterns.
- Thyroid: thermal patterns that may help your provider evaluate thyroid function.
- Maxillofacial: facial heat mapping that may suggest sinus or dental inflammation.
Thermography is a complementary screening tool. It does not replace mammography or other diagnostic imaging your physician recommends, and it does not diagnose cancer. Please keep following the screening guidance of your healthcare provider.
